(Farmington, Mo) - Corona virus cases in Perry County have more than doubled over the past few days, with the latest amount of confirmed cases reaching 21 people. Of those 21, the Perry County Health Department can't identify where at least 4 of the people contracted the virus leaving a worrisome possibility that community spread is beginning to take hold. The health department says 3 people so far have recovered.
Meanwhile in Washington County, well over 30 people have been tested by that county's health department. So far all have turned up negative. In Jefferson County, a total of 47 confirmed cases have been announced, with on fatality. A woman in her 80s. Reynolds county has confirmed their first two cases, with 3 tests pending. In Ste Genevieve County, 6 cases are confirmed, with 33 cases pending. There are no known cases in Madison or Iron counties at this time.
