(Bismarck, Mo) Bismarck will hold a special election to decide the tied aldermanic vote in the city's Ward 2. The tie came about this past Tuesday during what was supposed to be the April Municipal elections after it was resecheduled by Governbor Mike Parson in response to safety measures over the pandemic.
Both candidates Dustin Garling and Lochie Counts garnered 35 votes. A hand count was performed and the total remained at 35 votes each.. According to St. Francois County Clerk, Kevin Engler, he's working with Bismarck officials on setting a date for the special election. The election should cost around $3,000 to $3,500.
