(Park Hills, Mo) - Leaders in the Central School District at Park Hills are looking into new procedures for ending the current school year after Governor Mike Parson shut schools across the state down over virus concerns. The Superintendent of the Central Schools, Dr. Ashley McMillan, says even though they had discussed the possibility, the announcement still took Parkland Superintendents by surprise.
According to McMillan, administrators are going to continue their effort for the moment including online learing and food services among other things. A meeting will be held with Superintendents from area schools to discuss the best way to wrap up the year including how to handle graduation ceremonies. McMillan says are Superintendents will be meeting again soon.
McMillan explains they're also still asking patrons of the district to be sure to remember and vote in the June 2nd no tax increase bond issue election.
