Crump Charged After Weekend Standoff

(Farmington, MO.) A Doe Run man, 39 year old Donald Crump II, is charged with armed criminal action, burglary in the first degree, stealing a firearm, resisting or interfering with an arrest, and unlawful possession of a firearm after a 5 hour standoff with police in Farmington Saturday. Chief of Police, Rick Baker, says officers were called to 203 Patterson Street for a disturbance about 10:30 a.m. When they arrived Crump ran from the scene and was pursued by officers. He ran into a home at 504 North Jackson and barricaded himself in a bedroom. The owner of the home escaped along with an infant. After negotiating with members of the Farmington Police, and St. Francois County Sheriff's Department, for five hours, Crump surrendered peacefully. Crump is being held at the St. Francois County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond after Saturday's incident.
