(Park Hills, Mo) - January may be coming in like a lamb, but it may be going out like a lion if the Farmer's Almanac is correct. The almanac says we're in for maybe a little snow next week, but then a typical January will follow until about the 24th, when a major storm is predicted to cut across portions of Missouri and the upper Midwest with possibly up to 2 feet of snow.
The almanac is then calling for temperatures to go up to 40 below zero actual temperatures in portions of the midwest and central Plains, with temperatures possibly well below zero here in our area, with additional snow possible on the final day of the month.
