(St. Francois County, MO) Parkland firefighters are gearing up for the holiday weekend after already battling two fires in the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Bonne Terre Fire Chief David Pratte tells KFMO B104 News crews were busy dealing with a dry cooking fire at an apartment complex off Long Street near Bonne Terre City Park. According to Pratte the fire was small and contained quickly with no injuries reported. The second fire was a commercial structure fire in Delassus. The scene was handled by the Doe Run Fire Department. KFMO B104 News has reached out to the Doe Run crew but we haven't received any response to our inquiry yet. Sources tell us the fire was at the location for a new antique shop on Highway 221. According to reports there was heavy fire damage on the inside of the building.
