(Jefferson City, MO) Steady progress in inoculations is being made in Missouri according to Governor Mike Parson. Parson held a briefing Wednesday afternoon saying Missouri is still ahead of the majority of states in the country with vaccine distribution.
Parson explains this week the state will receive 37,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 36,000 of the Moderna vaccine The state has 351 approved providers around the state to provide inoculations. Parson also released nearly $127 million in fiscal year 2021 funds, announced $68 million in federal funding for higher education institutions, and a $4 million CARES Act Grant to St. Louis Community College in Forest Park for on campus child care. Some criticized the Governor for not addressing the violence that was happening at the same time in Washington D.C.
