Lachance Guilty of Statutory Sodomy

(Farmington, MO) A Farmington man, 74 year old Kenneth B. Lachance Sr., is facing a possible total of 40 years in prison after he was convicted of Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree and Child Molestation in the First Degree after a two day trial. It was the first jury trial of 2021 in St. Francois County. A press release from St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney, Melissa Gillam, indicates the jury recommended 25 years for the sodomy count and 15 for the molestation charge. According to reports the initial investigation gathered information from a young girl who said she was less than 12 years old when the abuse began in 2014. When Lachance was interviewed on the accusations he reportedly admitted to the sexual conduct. The sexual abuse is alleged to have began at Lachance's address of Highway D at Farmington while other incidents of molestation took place at a Desloge address. Lachance is set for sentencing April 16th.
