State Recalls Masks Used by First Responders

(Jefferson City, Mo) - Missouri Department of Public Safety Director Sandy Karsten says tens of thousands of masks being worn by police and firefighters may have been defective, and they've issued a recall for them.

Karsten made the announcement during Governor Parson's daily press briefing from the State Capitol.  It is unknown how many of the 48,000 masks were already used.  Karsten did not elaborate on what was wrong with the masks.  The governor's office does not allow members of the press to be in the room to ask questions directly since the virus outbreak.
