(Desloge, MO) An oak tree honoring Ethan Bryan, who was killed in a tragic automobile accident in September, is now planted in the memorial garden in Desloge City Park after a special ceremony Friday morning. Bryan, who was 16 years old when he died, is the son of Desloge City Administrator, Dan Bryan. The accident took place when the car Bryan was driving was involved in the fatal accident the morning of September 16th just before 5:30. Two cars were headed west on Highway 8, at Harmon Road, when the first car driven by Bryan swerved to the left to attempt to avoid a collision with the other car driven by a 21 year old Bonne Terre woman, Aleisha R. Radford. Radford was slowing to make a left turn onto Harmon Road. The front right side of Bryan's car struck the rear of Radford's. Bryan's vehicle then crashed head on into a pick up driven east by 79 year old George W. Arnold of Cadet. Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene. Members of the Desloge Chamber of Commerce, city officials, and other city staff members were on hand for the ceremony.
